OKX vs Binance SEPA Withdrawal Fees (2026)

Reviewed on August 12, 2026. Fees, product availability, tax and regulatory rules can change. Verify live platform screens and official sources before acting.

2026 action checklist

  • Check whether you are selling on spot or through a higher-spread convert tool.
  • Read the live SEPA fee and processing estimate before confirming.
  • Withdraw only to an IBAN in your verified name.

For eligible European users, OKX currently states that it does not charge a platform fee for EUR withdrawals by SEPA; Binance fees can vary by account and channel. In both cases, the total cost also includes the crypto-to-euro trade or conversion spread. Compare the live withdrawal preview and the sale route before confirming.

The three cost lines of a euro exit

When you turn crypto into euros in your bank account, you pay up to three times:

  1. The sale: spot fees (0.08–0.10% on OKX and Binance alike) or the quick-convert spread (0.3–1% hidden in the price).
  2. The SEPA withdrawal itself: free to ≈ €1 depending on platform and period.
  3. Your bank: receiving a SEPA transfer is free at virtually every euro-zone bank.

Line 2 makes the marketing slogans; line 1 makes the bill.

What a 1,000 EUR exit actually costs

Take a concrete case: you hold 1,000 EUR worth of BTC and you want the euros in your bank account.

Step Cheap route Expensive route
Sell BTC into EUR Spot limit order around 0.10% — roughly 1 EUR Quick-convert carrying a ~0.5% spread — roughly 5 EUR
SEPA withdrawal 0 to ~1 EUR, platform and period dependent 0 to ~1 EUR — the same line either way
Receiving bank 0 at virtually every euro-zone bank 0
Total around 1–2 EUR around 5–6 EUR

The withdrawal fee is the line everyone compares and the line that matters least. The sale route is where a 1,000 EUR exit gains or loses a few euros — and where a 10,000 EUR exit gains or loses ten times that.

Instant, standard, weekend: when the money actually lands

A euro withdrawal runs two clocks in sequence: the platform's internal review, then the SEPA network itself. Only the second one is governed by the published estimate.

Situation Realistic expectation
Weekday morning, IBAN already used before Same day to next business day
Sent after banking hours on a Friday Often Monday, sometimes Tuesday
Weekend or public holiday Standard SEPA does not settle; the clock restarts on the next business day
First withdrawal to a new IBAN Add a compliance check: several hours to a couple of days
Amount unusually large for your account history Manual review is normal behaviour, not a warning sign

Where a platform offers instant SEPA on outgoing transfers, it bypasses the business-day calendar on the network side — but not the platform's own review. An instant transfer still waits behind a compliance hold. If a payment deadline matters, start the exit two business days early rather than paying for speed you may not get. The deposit side of the same question is covered in SEPA Instant vs standard SEPA.

Minimums, and the transfer that vanishes

Every platform puts a floor under fiat transfers, and on the deposit side that floor has teeth: on Binance, a SEPA transfer below 2 EUR is neither credited nor refunded. Withdrawal minimums are gentler — usually a few euros, always displayed on the withdrawal screen — but the common habit of sending a 1 EUR test transfer first is a habit worth losing. Platform-by-platform figures are collected in EUR deposit minimums and limits.

The 4 levers that actually reduce the cost

  1. Compare the spot order and Convert quote. Convert has no separately stated trading fee but can include a spread; spot has an explicit fee. Use the final EUR amount, not the marketing label, to compare.
  2. Check your actual fee tier. Referral or VIP discounts may apply only under specific account terms; verify the rate shown in your fee schedule.
  3. Batch your exits. Ten €100 withdrawals multiply fixed fees and compliance checks; one monthly exit pools them.
  4. Withdraw to an IBAN in your own name. Third-party IBANs trigger rejections and freezes — an anti-fraud rule, not a fee, but it costs time.

The first withdrawal: what to expect

A first SEPA to a never-used IBAN often goes through an extra verification (documentation, longer delay). That is normal compliance behavior. The whole process — African P2P route included — is described in withdrawing crypto to your bank account.

Don't forget what comes after

A euro exit is a taxable event in most regimes — for France, the principles are laid out in crypto taxes in France. Export your trade history at withdrawal time; it beats reconstructing it at filing season.

FAQ

Does instant SEPA exist? Depending on platform and period, instant SEPA may be offered, sometimes with a small surcharge; standard SEPA remains the economical choice.

Is there a minimum withdrawal? Yes, usually a few euros — the exact figure is shown at withdrawal time.

Why has my withdrawal been "processing" for 24 hours? Compliance review, weekend or bank holiday: SEPA only moves on business days.
